International Women’s Day 2020 Celebration

The theme of International Women’s Day 2020 was , I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the most progressive roadmap for the empowerment of women and girls, everywhere.

The current global consensus is that despite some success, substantive reform for the majority of the world’s women and girls has been agonizingly slow. So We celebrated International women’s day by taking a pledge to acknowledge and promote women’s rights and equality at the workplace also. We want to end gender violence. We call for economic justice and freedom for everyone. We want gender equality in technology,creativity and feminist leadership.

In her statement for International Women’s Day (8 March), Whiz IT Services  Managing Director & CEO Pallavi Barsagadey highlights 2020 as the year of equality for men and women, and asks us to fix structural obstacles to equality between men and women.
